The SolarPACES community is actively involved in the
Global Market initiative, which was ratified at the 2004 Bonn Conference.
The objective to launch a coordinated global initiative for
concentrating solar power plants aimed at building 5,000 MW of large-scale
CSP power projects and thereby significantly reducing the cost of this
technology. SolarPACES coordination in this activity is carried out by
the SolarPACES Executive Secretary, Dr. Michael Geyer, with the active
support of ExCo members and the Task I operating agent. More

this report.
