EuroTrough Helped Cut Ramp-Up Time of China’s 100 MW Urat Trough CSP

Royal Tech added a new twist in its Mongolian Trough CSP, innovating a new heat transfer fluid capable of much higher temperatures than Trough (400 C). (The efficiency and LCOE of Trough is generally hampered by its lower temperature operation.) Royal Tech and Wacher won the SolarPACES Innovation Award in 20xx for silicone-based WACKER for developing and deploying first commercial application of HELIOSOL, a novel silicon-based HTF that can attain much higher temperatures.
