SolarPACES Conference 2021

COVID-19 delays conference by one year (exact dates to be announced)

We are now looking forward to being able to postpone our 2020 visit to Albuquerque by one year, to the Fall of 2021. We are working to ensure that all of the exciting technical and touristic visits already announced for this year can be offered in the same way just one year later. We look forward to seeing you in person then!

The 26th SolarPACES Conference 2020 was our first ever fully online conference, due to the pandemic. A huge success, with all presentations still available online to registered participants.

History:

May 26, 2020:

We are disappointed to inform everyone that because of the uncertainty around planning a physical meeting caused by the current COVID-19 pandemic, we have decided to call off the further preparation of a physical (in person) SolarPACES conference for the planned dates in Albuquerque. This decision was partly based on the fact that currently, re-opening plans for the state of New Mexico are likely to not allow gatherings of over 100 people, even by late September. In addition, international travel restrictions will likely make participation difficult for many members of our community.

But this does NOT mean a cancellation of the conference! We have been excited to receive just as many abstracts as in recent years and will prepare the conference as an online event, to allow for exchange of information on international progress in CSP technology and markets as usual. More details about the online conference details will be communicated soon, for now we would also like to give colleagues who did not consider submitting abstracts in view of the pandemic situation an additional opportunity to participate and therefore will leave the abstract upload open until 31 May.
