SolarPACES 2024 First Announcement

SolarPACES (Solar Power and Chemical Energy Systems) is pleased to announce the 2024 Conference to be held from October 8-11, 2024, in Rome, Italy.

SolarPACES is the premier international network advancing research, development, and commercial deployment of concentrating solar thermal technologies.

This year, we will be in Italy, where history and modernity go hand in hand, not only in architecture:

The first CSP demo plant in Italy, Archimede, was already inaugurated in 2010. It was the first one to use molten salt for heat transfer and storage in a parabolic trough system. Last year, Italy’s first commercial CSP plant became operational, and others are currently in the advanced phases of construction or commissioning.

As always, this conference will be a great place to learn about new projects, research efforts, and market opportunities.

SolarPACES 2024 Call for Papers

If you wish to present a paper, an extended abstract should be submitted electronically using the Fourwaves Platform. The submission must provide clear information that will allow us to determine the significance and quality of your work. Review criteria include originality, scientific and technical quality of the results, and relevance to the conference topics.

Please note that for this upcoming conference, we again encourage, but do not require, the submission of full papers for acceptance for publication in the planned online proceedings. The organizing committee may request justification for not submitting full papers, including preliminary results that are currently being prepared for journal publication, or reviews of previously published work that have not been previously presented to the CSP community.

Please note: The overall scope of the SolarPACES conferences is the technology and application of concentrating solar thermal technologies, including their use in hybrid systems. Submissions not related to this scope will not be considered for the conference.
