The goal of this RFI is to assess how we can accelerate the commercialization of sCO2 integration with CSP.

Today, the Solar Energy Technologies Office (SETO) has issued a new request for information (RFI) about the integration of advanced supercritical carbon dioxide (sCO2) power cycles and thermal energy storage with concentrating solar-thermal power (CSP).

This is a chance for you to help inform our office’s strategic planning efforts. Share Your Thoughts on sCO2/CSP Integration. We want to collect information about the following topics:

The programmatic and strategic aspects of sCO2 integration with CSP
Components and designs of sCO2 cycles
Thermal energy storage
Practical design considerations for testing sCO2 integrated with thermal energy storage
