Recently, the hydraulic pressure test of the thermal system of the 100,000-kilowatt concentrating solar power generation project in Qiketai, Shanshan County, Xinjiang, which was constructed under the general contracting of Shandong Electric Power Engineering Consulting Institute, was successfully completed in one go. This success marks a significant progress in the installation of the project’s thermal system and lays a solid foundation for the subsequent grid connection and commissioning of the generating units.
For this hydraulic pressure test of the thermal system, a refined management and control strategy featuring graded pressure increase and multi-dimensional monitoring was adopted to comprehensively verify the pressure-bearing capacity and sealing performance of the thermal system. In the face of severe challenges such as large day-night temperature differences and frequent dusty weather in the Gobi region, the Shanshan project department scientifically optimized the construction plan and strengthened the safety and quality supervision throughout the whole process, ensuring that the test was safe, controllable and of reliable quality, and successfully completing this important milestone of the hydraulic pressure test.
The project is located in Qiketai Town, Shanshan County, Turpan City, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. It is invested and constructed by Henan Electric Power Co., Ltd. of State Power Investment Corporation. The total installed capacity of the project is 1GW, among which the installed capacity of photovoltaic power is 900MW and that of concentrating solar power is 100MW. The 100MW concentrating solar power project is equipped with a 12-hour molten salt energy storage system. It will adopt the tower-type molten salt energy storage concentrating solar power generation technology independently developed by Cosin Solar Technology Co., Ltd., and KSUN Technology will be responsible for providing the integrated supply of the concentrating solar thermal collection system.
