Wan Yuan from Cosin Solar accepts the Technology Implementation Award from SolarPACES Chair Gilles Flamant
On the final day of the SolarPACES Conference 2025, Cosin Solar received the inaugural SolarPACES Implementation Award for the 50 MW Delingha Concentrated Solar Power plant, recognizing its long term stable operation of concentrated solar technologies.
Since beginning operation among China’s first batch of demonstration projects in 2019 with 7 hours of thermal storage in molten salts, Delingha has consistently sustained generation above design levels over multiple years with an independently verified record of reliability.
Cosin Solar’s proven innovations include advanced machine-vision based heliostat control that achieved a tracking accuracy 66% higher
than the industry standard and dynamic receiver management enabling superior cloudy weather generation. Cosin has subsequently contributed its core technology, engineering expertise, and equipment to many subsequent CSP projects across China, most recently including the 350 MW Qinghai Yichu Golmud project.
